Great summary, the concept of social echo is going to be really useful. But it does strike me that social echo means that there is also an incentive to create ‘daily mail’ style content. Say something controversial and emotive and then hope that the inevitable storm of outrage on social media generates links and views.

My point is that there are still ways you can produce poor content and benefit. (Not all ‘daily mail’ type posts are bad, but there are some really lazy ones out there).
