Maybe I didn't make it clear. The trigger for the remarketing campaign to start dropped from 500 to 100. So smaller sites can now participate. It's a good thing from my point of view.

Molly,

Well it's a good thing you asked for a reference because the <a href="http://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2454064" title="Remarketing List Cookie ID Trigger" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">remarketing list number has seemingly changed from 500 to 100</a>.

Molly,

Pretty much. The group you want to target via remarketing must reach 500 before Google activates that campaign. So you start collecting via that rule and cookie and when that audience reaches 500 your campaign becomes eligible.

Thanks for your post. One question...what did you mean by the following:

A big word of caution here. Your campaign will not begin to serve ads until your Audience reaches 500 users.

Does this mean your site has to have 500 unique visitors before each campaign will start and your ads will show?

I am having a tremendous headache getting my view through conversions to track in AdWords. The conversions were initially set up in Analytics and imported into AdWord. You cannot enable view through conversions unless your conversions are set up DIRECTLY through AdWords. SO...created a new snipit of code to place on our conversion pages so that our conversions will now track through AdWords. Still...no luck. I cannot get them to track. We are not even tracking any regular conversions on the campaign, but they are tracking in my other campaigns. Do you have any ideas about how to effectively track my remarketing campaign or at least be able to show an ROI? I manage this account for a client and right now I am not able to show her anything substantial. Any suggestions that you might have are welcome, and yes, this was an AWESOME post! :-)
