Baldy,

Yes, each page should have unique Open Graph tags and you'll want to declare an og:image so Facebook doesn't pluck whatever it wants out of your content. I actually use the Open Graph tags as a way to <a href="http://www.blindfiveyearold.com/optimize-the-google-1-button" rel="nofollow">optimize Google +1 snippets</a> and Facebook snippets. That might give you some more information on how to put the OG tags into practical use.

Good luck and let me know if have any further questions.

One more question..much like having unique meta tags, should each page of a website have unique og tags as well or is it enough to have just one general page?

I ran several pages through the debugger, and it choose one of two images for the page image .. the Facebook icon and the Twitter icon.

If a business does not care if their non-Facebook site is indexed in Facebook, then they don't have to worry about implementing any of this stuff?
I just did a search and found that Wordpress has a free Open Graph plugin. Thanks AJ, I'll get right on putting this code into not only my site, but my clients sites as well.

You can absolutely add the open graph meta data without impacting Google. You can optimize or Google and Facebook at the same time without any negative consequences.
